Premium Chitose Okobo
The pokkuri clogs created by Oharibako are truly special. They feature maki-e lacquer bases, genuine tatami mat surfaces, and toe straps made of genuine silk kanoko shibori. These are the cutest pokkuri clogs, perfect for pairing with any kimono.
The black lacquer base is adorned with a maki-e gold painting of a thousand cranes, celebrating the growth of a 7-year-old girl. The footbed uses genuine tatami mat, also seen on bridal pokkuri clogs, signifying both comfort and high quality. Two bells are embedded in the sole, creating a "sharan" sound that complements the "pokkuri pokkuri" sound as you walk.
We specially requested a geta craftsman to attach genuine silk kanoko shibori toe straps, typically used for brides. The front thong is also custom-made, using festive red genuine silk honten that looks beautiful against white tabi socks. The holes in the sole for the bells are finished with a chrysanthemum carving. Since each pair is hand-painted, the crane patterns and dye colors each have their own unique character.
For that once-in-a-lifetime 7th birthday celebration, these shoes offer both elegance and cuteness.

【Handling Instructions】
If exposed to rain, the red of the front thong may transfer color to your tabi socks. The lacquer and maki-e may chip off if the clogs rub against each other or during walking.
The heads of the U-shaped fasteners used to attach the tatami surface to the base may be slightly visible, but please do not remove them. The edge of the tatami may lift slightly, but this does not affect its use.
It is recommended that okobo clogs have a little space at the heel. They are suitable for feet 1cm to 2.5cm shorter than the actual length of the clog.
