Modern Fujimusume (Paulownia Box)
Wisteria flowers blooming like a flowing waterfall. Since ancient times, the Japanese have loved wisteria flowers that bloom in early summer. This hair ornament, "Imafuji Musume," captures its delicate appearance using the unique expression of tsumami-zaiku.
Each and every petal is handmade. The flowers are delicately pinched, gradually getting smaller from the top, to express the flowing wisteria. Wires are threaded through the top of the flowers, allowing you to arrange them into your desired shape. The un-wired kumihimo parts hang gracefully.
Behind the wisteria flowers flowing like a waterfall, silver bira (dangling ornaments) have been placed. They sparkle with every movement, adding glamour to your outfit. The bells at the tips also serve as weights to ensure the wisteria flowers hang beautifully, and they create a subtle sound with every step, enhancing the delicate charm.
Comes with a special paulownia wood box, making it perfect as a gift. For coming-of-age ceremonies (furisode), graduation ceremonies (hakama), bridal wear, or wedding attire.
