It's finally our 30th event!
As a celebration of our 30th event,
we've prepared special gifts for all visitors!
*On the first day, we'll start arranging the geta around 11 AM and expect to be ready by noon.
On the last day, since we'll be cleaning up, if you wish to have your geta fitted on the same day,
we recommend coming early.

Those who know, know.
First-timers will be surprised by Kurosawa-san's geta.
They select excellent paulownia from the mountains,
and then meticulously process it into material...
Every craft begins with its materials, but
there are not many artisans who are involved from cultivating the materials
all the way to direct sales.
"Painful geta are not geta at all,"
is Kurosawa-san's philosophy.
Good geta are
easy to wear,
comfortable,
and fit your feet well.
You can wear them and nurture them, care for them when they get damaged,
and enjoy a long relationship with them. These geta are worth it.
I myself have several pairs of Kurosawa-san's geta that I've been wearing for over 10 years.
They are not just "new geta you've never seen before";
they are made from "Aizu Paulownia," which is exceptionally light and resilient,
precisely because of the heavy snow in Aizu.
So even playful designs have a serious foundation.
It's because of this strong core that they can create
playful geta. Please come and visit.
What is "Kurosawa Kirizai-ten"?
Did you know there's a geta shop that consistently handles everything from cutting Aizu paulownia from the mountains, shaping it into geta bases,
to fitting thongs that match the customer's feet?
Twice a year, in summer and winter, before the Gion Festival and New Year's Day, we invite "Kurosawa Kirizai-ten"
to hold the "Getabako" event.
Not only can you order new geta, but also
have your existing geta repaired, or have thongs replaced or adjusted.
We especially want people who have never worn geta before to enjoy this experience.
It's a geta shop where you can meet the artisan.
We look forward to seeing you and our original Kurosawa Kirizai-ten
stylish and unique geta!
It's for people who wear kimonos, of course, and yukata, too,
but also for those who only wear Western clothes.
Oh, and families with children come every time!
Children especially should wear them; they are geta that kids can put on themselves and run around in every day.
Since it takes a long time for them to outgrow the size,
the fact that they can be worn longer than shoes is also a recommended point!
